The Allplex™ Vaginitis Screening Assay is a multiplex real-time PCR test designed for the qualitative and quantitative detection of pathogens that cause vaginitis.

Key Benefits

  1. Comprehensive testing: simultaneous detection and identification of 7 STI pathogens, with 3 bacterial species additionally quantified
  2. Multiplexing: individual Ct values for multiple analytes in a single channel of the real-time PCR instrument (MuDT™ technology)
  3. Use of the UDG system (a mixture containing uracil-DNA glycosylase) to prevent autocontamination during the preparation of PCR mixtures
  4. Automatic interpretation of bacterial vaginosis status (normal, borderline, or positive)
  5. The test system complies with the requirements of the European Regulation on in vitro diagnostics, demonstrating compliance with European standards for safety, public health, and environmental protection (CE IVD)
  6. Convenient workflow: automatic data interpretation using the Seegene Viewer software module

Targets

  • Atopobium vaginae (quantitative) (AV)
  • Candida albicans (CA)
  • Candida others (CO)
  • Gardnerella vaginalis (quantitative) (GV)
  • Lactobacillus spp. (quantitative) (Lacto)
  • Mobiluncus spp. (Mob)
  • Trichomonas vaginalis (TV)
  • Internal Control (IC)
Sample Results Display The figure shows an example of a test result indicating the presence of co-infection: Candida albicans (CA), Lactobacillus spp. (Quantitative) (Lacto), and Mobiluncus spp. (Mob) in the FAM channel (Ct values of 25.49 (CA) and 102.05 copies/rxn (Lacto)), as well as in the Quasar 670 channel (Ct value of 35.05), respectively. This assay enables the interpretation of bacterial vaginosis through quantitative analysis of the bacteria causing vaginosis. *Note: For use with the CFX96™ real-time PCR system (Bio-Rad)
