The novAA 800 series consists of simple and reliable instruments featuring flame and/or electrothermal atomization and deuterium background correction.
The spectrometer is designed specifically for rapid routine analysis of the elemental composition of samples with small to medium sample volumes. When using electrothermal and flame atomization, elements can be determined over a wide range of concentrations. Instruments in this series can operate in both dual-beam and single-beam modes. If it is necessary to speed up the process as much as possible, the novAA 800 series instruments can be equipped with accessories and automatic dosing devices for both the flame and electrothermal atomizers. An automatic dosing unit for electrothermal (ETA) analysis is included in the standard package. The use of ETA cuvettes with transverse heating offers several significant advantages over longitudinal heating:- uniform temperature distribution along the furnace axis;
- absence of temperature gradients;
- quantitative evaporation of the sample along the entire length of the tube, with no condensation at the ends of the furnace;
- atomization of elements at lower temperatures;
- increased degree of atomization (up to 100%);
- reduction or elimination of matrix interference and memory effects;
- extended service life of graphite cuvettes.
